So some of the lads and I were drinking in Les Houches last night & ended up round Fred’s table drinking horrible rose and talking crap. I must’ve been talking even more crap than usual, and whatever it was I was saying apparently wound my mate up enough for him to chin me. I don’t mean a pansy little play fight either, I’m talking about a full on uppercut to the chin that actually knocked me right back out of my chair. The guy’s done plenty of boxing in the past, so he knows how to throw a punch. It was actually a pretty comic moment – very Lock-Stock.

I’ve got a sore chin today of course, and I think my mate bust his thumb on my jaw a little bit, but no real harm done. And actually, I think it probably does a bloke good to get chinned once in a while. I’ve been a bit sketchy & annoying recently – cocky would sum it up well, and a cathartic evening like last night is not a bad thing. Of course…. it’s not something I’d want to do every week :)
