The Vallee Blanche with the Chalet Girls

Had a beautiful day on the Vallee Blanche yesterday. The dangers of the run do get built up a bit at times, and yesterday was purposely not death-on-a-stick skiing. It was just myself and the Chalet girls from Chalet La Lune, doing a quiet, sunny, safe lap of the punter route. Obviously we took all the usual precautions, wearing harnesses, carrying ropes/tranceivers etc, but they are just precautions.

The arette is equipped with ropes now and it’s a piece of piss (though busy). Just stick to the path on the way down, enjoy the view and hop on the Montenvers train back home - a great day out. Check out the girl’s grins :)

more photos? you knows it.

We even had the foresight to park one of the cars in the right part of town which avoided the pain of trudging back across Chamonix carrying all the equipment. Easy, beautiful and fun. I love the Vallee Blanche, me.
