Avenue Q

My mother turned 60 last month and because both mums and 60th’s are important I wanted to mark the occasion by doing something good. I decided on taking her for a great night out in London. Dinner and a show, you know…. It took a little while to settle on what to see, but in the end we settled on Avenue Q and went to see it on Friday night. It was great - the right choice I think. I was laughing all the way through, and worried, sidelong glances at my mum to see if she was enjoying it too were rewarded by seeing her laughing too. Even at the racy, rude bits. I looked on youtube to find a little clip of the show to give you an idea of what it’s like, and came across a newsnight review which explains all.

Afterwards we walked the 200 yards to china town for a really nice, if slightly rushed dinner before I put my mum back on the train up to Suffolk. We both had a good night, so happy birthday mum :)
