Les Grande Moguls
That’s what the snowboarders call Grande Montets because after a week or so with no fresh snow, the mountain does become an enormous mogul field. Suits me, though. I like moguls and I like the fact that it keeps the wideboy snowboarders away.
I was back there today after my fall yesterday. This time with Sarah and Mark doing some Chamonoiard skiing - just hooning around on all the off piste runs; Lavancher, the Italian bowl etc. We stopped for lunch at the refuge de Lognon and stayed on the mountain until the lifts closed.

We’re going back tommorrow too. We finally managed to book a ticket to the top. It’s really beautiful up there, but I haven’t managed to get on the lift yet this year since they made it free and introduced a reservation system that is typically French and crap. Once I get this system worked out, though - i’m just going to do laps on the bugger - it’s that good.
