It’s all broken, but I don’t care
Everything’s falling to bits. My mobile phone doesn’t work. My iPod won’t connect to the computer and is full of house music I’m now sick of, my Golf’s not in the best of health and my computer’s starting to act like HAL from 2001.
But I don’t care. I’ve just started my parapente course again today and did 3 flights from the Brevant this morning. The last one I practically flew the entire thing myself, including landing the thing. My instructor, Clement was behind me telling me what to do of course, but by the end of the week I’m going to be taking off on my first solo flight. I’m buzzing.
I’ve got to go back out this afternoon. We’re off to Les Plannards (the baby ski-slope) to practice ground handling and take offs. It’s quite physical, that. Lots of running around with a parapente above you and then lugging it back up the hill for another go. Hard work, but you’ve got to be able to take the thing off consistently before you try running off a cliff with the thing.

I wish I could do that in my lunch break!
